Margurita Geary is Partner and Head of Residential Property at LBMW, acting for ultra high net worth and high net worth individuals, international families, private investment offices, and global investors on the acquisition, disposal and long term stewardship of prime and super prime residential property in London and across the UK.

Recognised for her expertise in high value and structurally complex transactions, Margurita regularly advises on properties held through trust and corporate structures, bespoke ownership vehicles, and arrangements requiring coordination with private banks, specialist lenders, private wealth advisers and multi disciplinary professional teams. Her work is defined by meticulous preparation, commercial acuity and a level of discretion expected by clients whose assets demand absolute confidentiality.

Recent highlights include acting for a high net worth client in securing a Grade I listed property, completing the acquisition of a central London penthouse, overseeing the leasing and sales of a major central London development, and managing a complex land sale incorporating an overage deed.

Her advisory work covers freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, intricate leasehold restructurings, new leases, lease extensions, licences to alter, transfers of equity, overage arrangements, and pre auction strategic advice for clients looking to acquire rare or high demand assets. She frequently becomes involved at the earliest stages of a transaction—assessing risks, identifying structural issues and shaping strategies that protect her clients’ interests throughout the lifecycle of the deal.

Margurita represents both UK based and international UHNW clients and is known for working seamlessly alongside private wealth advisers, tax specialists, family offices, buying agents and international intermediaries to ensure cohesion and efficiency in highly sensitive, cross border transactions. Admitted as a solicitor in 2008, Margurita joined LBMW in 2015 from a City firm and became a Partner in 2017. She now leads one of London’s most respected residential property teams, bringing extensive experience and a reputation for excellence to every instruction.
