Clergy

With the general trend across the Church of England being the decline of stipendiary ministry, LBMW recognises the importance of supporting and enhancing the work of clergy of all forms within the Church of England.

Through our partners' roles as Diocesan Registrars, we have collectively acquired a deep understanding of the rights, duties and functions of ordained ministers within the Church.

Our ecclesiastical team advises not only Diocesan Bishops but other ordained ministers on all aspects of their roles and how these relate to their own personal circumstances, such as issues pertaining to:

  • Appointments and licensing.
  • Capability.
  • Clergy Discipline Measure.
  • Complaints.
  • Housing.
  • Ministry.
  • Pensions.
  • Remuneration.
  • Safeguarding.
  • Terms and conditions of service (including common tenure).
  • Clergy disciplinary.
