Employment

Employment is one of the fastest developing areas of law. We are keenly aware of the impact that decisions emerging from the tribunals and courts can have on our clients and the advice we provide. Our experienced employment team provides up-to-date, robust and pragmatic advice to both employers and employees ranging from contracts of employment, Staff Handbooks, and policies and procedures, to work place disputes, restrictive covenants, dismissals and TUPE.

Whilst we frequently represent clients in the Employment Tribunal and the High Court, many workplace disputes result in settlement and we are well versed in negotiating Settlement Agreements, using the ACAS Early Conciliation service and advising clients on handling disciplinary and grievance proceedings.

Our employer clients include large corporates, small companies, LLPs and partnerships, schools, multi-academy trusts, charities and church bodies. In addition, we represent employees from all sectors, but have a particular niche acting for senior City employees (Vice Presidents and above) in complex, high value - and sometimes high profile - disputes.

We regularly deliver seminars and briefings to our clients on contemporary aspects of employment law and work alongside in-house HR teams advising on contentious and non-contentious employments issues. We send a quarterly email newsletter to clients on current employment law issues.

Examples of employment matters we have recently been involved in include:-
