Tricia spent four years studying education and music at Homerton College, Cambridge. She has extensive experience of primary education, including twelve years as a primary head teacher in Oxfordshire and one year as a seconded adviser to Oxfordshire local authority.
In 2001, she was appointed to Her Majesty’s Inspectorate (HMI) where she worked for the next 10 years. As an HMI, she inspected schools, was the national point of reference for the inspection of primary initial teacher training, was a member of various project teams which were convened to evaluate government initiatives, and was one of the authors of HMCI’s annual report for a number of years.
Between 2009 and 2011, she joined Ofsted’s senior management team in her role as Principal Officer for Initial Teacher Training and Specialist Commissioned Inspections. Tricia has worked with colleagues from the Department of Education, sat on the Board of the Teacher Training Agency, during which time she chaired the Accreditation Committee, and she has represented Ofsted on the Board of the Training and Development Agency. Most recently, she has worked with the National College of Teaching and Learning on quality assuring their licensed leadership development provision and chairs of governors’ programme.
In December 2012, she was appointed as Director of Education for the Diocese of Ely and Chief Executive of the Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust, which has seen her actively engaged in the academies agenda.
She joined LBMW in September 2015.
