Clifford read history at the University of Bristol before undertaking his conversion course at BPP, gaining a distinction in his LPC. He joined Lee Bolton & Lee (as the firm then was) as a trainee in 2005 and became a partner in the dispute resolution department in 2013.

Clifford deals with a wide variety of litigation matters. He has particular expertise in property disputes, restrictive covenants, matrimonial, employment and ecclesiastical matters. He acts for individual clients as well as large corporations and represents both defendants and claimants in all matters. He has conducted matters in the Court of Appeal, High Court, Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) and Consistory Court as well as the County Court and First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber).

He is the Secretary of the Old Grantite Club, and his interests include pontificating over cricket, good walks, fishing and decent scotch.  He is a member of Boodle's.
