Alex is a partner who deals with all types of leases, acquisition and disposal of real estate, real estate securitisation and joint ventures and structures. He also manages leasehold portfolios for corporate occupiers.
Alex heads the Commercial Real Estate department.
Alex's clients are US Fortune 500 companies listed in the New York Stock Exchange, UK government owned companies, institutional property investors (including charities and educational establishments), institutional lenders, leisure companies, fashion houses, restaurateurs, landed estates, international persons and private wealthy individuals.
In terms of value of transactions, for leasing, Alex deals with annual rents in excess of £1,000,000; for domestic real estate deals in general, these have included infrastructure projects with a value in excess of £300,000,000. In terms of global deals utilising MSI, Alex recently headed and closed the property aspects of an asset sale at a value of $380,000,000.
In terms of approach, Alex endeavours to be involved early in the negotiation of the commercial terms stage of a transaction to ensure that he achieves the best possible commercial terms for his clients. His ethos is to ensure that each transaction and separate aspect of the transaction is dealt with at the appropriate level and that there are clear lines of communication between the transacting parties and their professional advisers and that there is a clear understanding at the outset of the commercial needs, timings and expectations of his client.
