Lasting Powers of Attorney
We advise our clients on matters relating to mental capacity law and, in particular, the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA).
In times of increasing age expectancy, we encourage our clients to consider the preparation of an LPA. A Lasting Power of Attorney allows your attorney (who is appointed by you) to assist you with managing your affairs should you ever lose your mental capacity. Our solicitors have in-depth experience of the preparation of LPAs covering our clients' property and financial affairs as well as their health and welfare.
The process for creating an LPA is governed by strict rules and can be confusing. Our family lawyers have prepared a vast number of Lasting Powers of Attorney for clients since their introduction and are able to make what may seem a complex and technical exercise simple and straightforward.
